He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1983. Dr. Peterson then pursued advanced subspecialty training through fellowships at two prestigious institutions, the University of North Carolina and Duke University, where he developed expertise in diagnosing and treating blood disorders and cancers.

Dr. Peterson has a distinguished history of independent practice ownership, demonstrating his commitment to patient-centered care delivered outside of large health systems.
