What is your role at OSC? I am the CT technologist; I conduct scanning at Randolph Road office, where we have our CT Scanner
What is your background? Where from, Education, Pathway working in your field? I was born in Rock Hill, SC and raised in a small town called Chester, SC. I currently live in York, SC, with my two girls, Karli (7) and Raven (2), and our dog Oreo. In high school, I cheered for 3 years and ran track my senior year. I also participated in the Beta Club, Art Club, and was a teacher cadet my senior year. Toward the end of my senior year, I was able to teach a middle school art class. In 2008, I walked the stage, graduating with honors. I worked at a movie store and a YMCA, but I wanted something in medicine. That’s when I enrolled at York Technical College and studied in the radiology field, where I received my CT Technologist qualifications and license. I worked at Piedmont Hospital and Springs Memorial in SC for 7 years. Then, I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree at Adventist University in radiologic science. I started working in Charlotte at Novant Health and Atrium Health before joining OSC almost a year ago to be their ‘very first CT Technologist”.
What do you like to do during non-working hours? All my time is dedicated to my children and planning kids’ activities, mostly outdoor activities, like throwing a ball, riding a scooter or even the household chores of yardwork with the kids. I am taking my oldest daughter to the show Cirque du Soleil Bazzar in December for her birthday present. On the rare occasion that I have time for myself, I like to get my hair and nails done….. and get some more SLEEP! A fun fact about me is that I love to shoot pool! I do not get much of an opportunity to do this, but when the kids get older, I will get back into the activity.
What scent do you love to smell? Freshly baked cookies, and especially the scents of hazelnut and coconut Beach or Mountains? I like both, but I would say the beach because my kids love it.
What Netflix or other show series are you watching now? No, I watch movies. The last movie I watched was Spider-Man. I really like the Marvel Avengers movies.
What was your favorite cartoon as a youngster? Recess and Fairly OddParents with the fairy godparents.
If you could go on a shopping spree, just 1 store, what would that be? American Eagle
What is your favorite dish for the holiday feasts (only 1)? Mac n’ Cheese
