I was born in FL and then we moved to update NY before landing in Rock Hill SC area when I was 14. After high school I went to school to become a veterinarian technician, but I did not complete this and instead I took the medical assistant program course in Charlotte. While I was working in a grocery store in Rock Hill SC, the manager asked me if I could work in the pharmacy department where I became a cashier with on-the-job-training to be a pharmacy technician. After a some years of pharm tech, I advanced my education further by going back to school and studied for my “certified” pharmacy technician. I competed the studies, passed the exam and became a CPhT, just this past January!

What is your path working in healthcare?
After I worked in the grocery store pharmacy and received my pharmacy technician level, I went to work at a small independent pharmacy in York SC for a few years. Then I worked at The Lash Group in Rock Hill from 2019-2022 where I carried out patient support on medications. I left in September of last year to come join OSC as their pharmacy technician, now Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT.
