and CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician)

What is your path working in healthcare? Or why did you choose to work in
I have been in a healthcare field for 20 years. I did not initially want to work in
healthcare, but I was always drawn back to it. I did take a break from the health field
and got my cosmetology license; I took up baking, making cakes; and I worked at
a school for the deaf. I know sign language. I loved this job and working with kids!
My son is deaf which led me to working with deaf children.

What can you share about OSC that that sets us apart from other medical groups?
The way we treat our patients like people, like family, and not a disease,
diagnosis, or data set. Over the years, in dealing with my own obstacles to help
my deaf son, I can empathize and sympathize with our patients and their families
at our oncology practice, OSC.

What is your favorite charity? Any charity that helps kids and especially kids with
disabilities. I would say my favorite is “Make-A-Wish” which seeks to help children
with critical illnesses to fulfill their special wish.

What is your favorite snack? The candy Turtles, a candy made with pecans and
caramel dipped in chocolate, with a shape resembling a turtle.

What travel destination do you have on your bucket list? Turks and Caicos. I once
saw a TV show with this Caribbean Island and it looked beautiful and peaceful; the
water and beaches.

If you could go to lunch with someone famous, who would that be? Pastor
Michael Todd. He is the lead at Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a
broadcasting network. He makes it interesting to learn and be inspired.

What movie have you watched multiple times? The Karate Kid starring Jaden

If you were given a car, any car of your choice, what would that be? The new
model of the Lincoln SUV.
