What is your name?
Deborah

What is your role at OSC?
Patient Representative and Front Desk Lead. I have been with OSC for 9 years.

What is your Educational Background?
I went to Pine Forest Senior High School in Fayetteville, NC. I served in the US Army military for 11 years and obtained my education through the reserves.

What brought you to OSC?
My husband and I became engaged and he lived in Charlotte while I lived in Raleigh. I had been working at an independent cardiology practice in Raleigh for 10 years. It was natural that I was drawn to the job posting at OSC for a patient services coordinator. I have been working in healthcare since 1985. It is my passion.

What are your hobbies and interests?
Traveling is my #1 desire. I also enjoy entertaining with friends & family, fashion and decorating.

What can you share about Dr. Favaro if someone had never met him?
Dr. Favaro is one of the best doctors that I have ever worked with. When it comes to patient care, he is thorough and makes sure that patients get all that they need.

If you were to go to medical school and become a doctor, what type of medical doctor would you be?
I can’t think of what that would be because I am not the least bit interested in being a doctor. But I think being a social worker or a veterinarian would be interesting.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Salty snacks.

The beach or mountains?
Beach. I love the sand & water, but I’m also a huge fan of the mountains.

What is your New Year’s resolution or goal(s) in 2021?
My goal is to continue to give, to be more helpful to others…to be a giver, not a receiver.
